*these mini chocolate cones from trader joes. so yummy! they are the perfect size so you don't feel guilty eating one. or two. or three. (and they are really fun to take pictures of!)
*pride and prejudice (which i had a hard time putting down) was such a great read. for some reason i expected it to be really "old fashioned" and hard to get through, but i was so wrong! now i'm on to sense and sensibility.
*this article on solitude. i learned a lot of new vocab and had to have my dictionary on hand, but i think it was the best article i have ever read. honestly.
*cheche's post about insecurity and the blog world. i completely relate to this and am curious about your guys' thoughts on this subject. (and i promise you will love cheche. she is so cool!)
*TeuxDeux. this digital to do list is one of my favorite recent finds. i love it! i feel nice and organized.
*this playlist on repeat

*this list of hipster baby names. my favorites are hazel for a girl and silas for a boy!
*jon foreman's "seasons" cd project. I've been listening to him nonstop on youtube playlists! you can see what I mean here.
*this verse: "This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us." (1 John 10-12)
*staying up a little two late the other night finishing One Thousand Gifts. so worth it. I catch myself randomly thanking God for the little things throughout the day and it gives me a better perspective and outlook.

the burning house project

have you seen this photo project yet?
"If your house was burning, what would you take with you? It's a conflict between what's practical, valuable and sentimental. What you would take reflects your interests, background and priorities. Think of it as an interview condensed into one question." (check it out here)
clever, huh? what would you take?

a little letterpress love

I love everything letterpress. I love the fonts, texture, and grainyness of the final product. so, as you can imagine, I was over the moon excited when I saw this digital letterpress tutorial on pugly pixel. she uses photoshop cs3, but I am trying to find a way to make something similar using photoshop elements. I used the cs3 in my photography class at school and this is how it turned out! (above)

friday favorites (on Saturday)

*looking through old photos
*getting to school at 4:15 am to register for next years classes. I got all the classes I wanted and had a blast hanging out with friends, watching the sun rise, and getting curious looks from passerby's.
*the irresistible revolution by shane claiborne. this book is amazing. it has totally reshaped my ideas about what living the "Christian life" looks like.
*the 70 degree weather we had yesterday. incredible. but...now it's back to rain again. sigh.
*ten days until my braces come off! this is especially exciting because I have had them on for almost 3 1/2 years and had nearly every torturous appliance known to man.
*plans for all sorts of fun outdoorsy activities for this summer!
*the TOMS documentary. have you seen it yet? it made me want to buy ten more pairs of TOMS, adopt a bunch of Argentinian children, and speak spanish.

have a fantastico weekend!

I honestly can't stop laughing- too funny!

My favorite parts of this week:
-getting a job teaching a graphic/media class for a week in the summer with the best friend
-getting back into the darkroom at school...it had been too long!
-seeing sun (at various times throughout the day). it is amazing how much happier everyone is when the sun is out!

I can't believe it's Friday already. Gotta love weeks that fly by quickly!
